If you are traveling abroad and try to access your SFGov email, there's a possibility that the City's email security in place may lock you out of your email account. There are certain locations around the globe that are 'blacklisted' known hotbed locations notorious for email hacking, spam and phishing activities.
What you can do to avoid this?
- Let us know the dates and locations ahead of time where you will be traveling so we can inform DT (your account will be 'whitelisted' for you to login with no problems).
- Use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to verify your identity.
