First, if you are working remotely and you're not connected onto the City's network, you must first launch and login into your VPN account. If you don't have a shortcut to 'Remote Desktop', just type in the Window's "Search programs and files" box 'Remote Desktop'. In the results, click on 'Remote Desktop Connection'
In the Computer box type: 10.183.254.206
In the User name type: rpd\first letter of your firstname and lastname (ie. Luke Skywalker, user name is: rpd\lskywalker) then click on the 'Connect' button.
Enter your RPD Password then click on the 'OK' button.
If you get 'The identity of the remote computer cannot be verified. Do you want to connect anyway?' window, check mark the 'Don't ask me again for connections to this computer' box, then click on the 'Yes' button.
On the Remote Desktop Window, enter your RPD Username and Password then click on the arrow right button.
You are now logged into your Remote Desktop profile and have access to your network resources. To disconnect from Remote Desktop, simply click on the "x" or logout.
