Your unique DSW Number (aka your CCSF Employee ID Number) is printed on the back of your DSW ID card. This helps to distinguish City employees from the general public and serves to confirm identification. Therefore, in accordance with their obligations as Disaster Service Workers (DSWs) under state and local law, all City employees are required to carry their DSW ID cards with them at all times for identification purposes in the event of a disaster or emergency.
You will be required to provide your DSW Number for the following:
- Request a CCSF/SFGov email account
- Request to reset your CCSF/SFGov email password
- Access to SFGov Employee Gateway Portal
- Access to SFGov Slate Online Training Portal
- Access to CCSF ePayroll Portal
There will be other occasions for identity verification, depending on your request/inquiry for city employee online systems and services, where you will be required to provide your DSW Number. It would not be a bad idea to memorize this number!
If you're a New Employee who have not received your DSW ID Card, have not started on your official work date, or you simply don't have your card physically with you and don't know what your DSW Number is, please contact our department's Human Resources Processing Unit directly at: (415) 831-2730. They'll be able to assist you.
